Starting our sailing day from San Sebastian’s port, we will head east on our way to San Juan de Luz. While we sail we will pass the last beach of San Sebastian; Ulia Mountain and the entrance to Pasajes Port; and the cliffs of Jaizkibel. At the end of this mountain range Cabo Higer stands out by the France-Spain border in the village of Hondarribia.
With the French coast in sight, the first thing we will see is the beach of Hendaia, one of the longest in this coast and very popular with surfers. At the end of the beach two imposing rocks rise from the water, the so-called twin rocks. Sailing along these cliffs we will arrive at the port of Ziburu, a tiny fishing village with the Fort of Sokoa sheltering the port and the bay of San Juan de Luz at the other end.

Once on land, it is worth taking a stroll along the promenade with the colourful houses connected to it by small red footbridges. Walk around the old town. The bustling port with its colourful fishing boats is also a must-see. At the other end of the bay is the above-mentioned Fort of Sokoa, which can also be reached on foot. Finally, In San Juan de Luz, like in the rest of the Basque Coast, you will enjoy excellent fish and seafood.
