SAINT JAMES WAY ALONG THE BASQUE COAST

The Coastal Route is one of the oldest paths of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. By boat, it begins at the Bidasoa River, between Hondarribia on the Spanish side of the Basque Country, and Hendaia on the French side. From there it goes all along the Basque coast.

Come and sail with us in this new way of doing the Camino while you enjoy our coast and nature from a new perspective.

Navigation, culture and gastronomy are brought together in our journey through The Camino de Santiago along the Basque Coast. We will show you our coast from the sea as you complete the Basque section of the pilgrimage, recognized by Compostela since 2016.

In three days we will cross the coast from Hondarribia to Getxo. We will make stops in official ports in order to obtain the pilgrim’s credential and discover the local history, customs and gastronomy. We offer a unique experience for seafarers, beginners, or all those looking for a different experience.

You will love the beautiful seaside villages along the route, including Pasajes San Juan, Getaria and Zumaia.

Be part of the crew and, under the command of our skipper, immerse in the day to day of a sailing journey and learn to navigate. You will discover the different fishing ports along the way.

A three-day experience you won’t forget!
